My first ever 2 brews and what I think so far

Post by WishboneBrewery » Sat Feb 14, 2009 8:05 pm

The Woodfordes Wherry, after 1 week of warmth then 1 week of cool, a quick chill in the fridge... Its mellowed out quite nicely, I'd have happily bought a bottle of that at the supermarket... I've tasted much worse from the supermarket too!
Its still cloudy though, but if it continues to improve in flavour I'm not going to care.

The Coopers Stout with 1kg of Dark spray malt, after 1 week in the warmth and a chill in the fridge (or even after just 3 days in the warm!) it tastes pretty damn good :) With the few pints of Guinness I had last night tasting quite bland in comparison!
The yeast makes a good solid sediment in the bottom of the bottles and I think its looking pretty clear, though its hard to see through it, at a clear bottle neck its a deep dark red :)

I could get used to this

So for a first off crack, I've got two beers that I'd happily call regulars ;)

If things continue like this I won't be spending as much on beer when we go shopping, at least after I've stocked myself up with enough good bottles
I'd say a big thank you to all you lot who have helped with my questions along the way :)

Thats the best bit, not spending out in Supermarkets, I have only bought 4 speckled hens since mid november (wine excluded)

Enough about your Pets! what about the beer!? :p
This Wherry is most drinkable, though the Glass 500ml taste better than the 2L plastic coke bottles.

I am up to two, there seems too much choice to have regulars already though, I keep finding new prospects by the day.

Just finished bottling the Coopers, I desperately hope it's a good as people say. I would also like to thank the kind and patient guys here at JBK for their help and listening to my daft questions, cheers
