Success first time!!!!

Success First time!!!!!Coppers IPA + 1 tin of Coppers amber LME, primed with suger cane. I got a phone call from my wife to tell me that the tap on my keg was leaking! when I got home I realized that I must of over primed the barrel  so with out further a do I grabbed an empty bottle to pull off some of the ale in hope of releasing the presure, MEGGA FROTH #-o ! So I had to unscrewi the lid a little (I thought that the pressure release valve should have delt with any over pressurisation?) having done this I was left with some ale in the bottle,........it look like ale (bit clowdy still),....It smelt like ale,......I drank some,......BY GOD I'VE MADE ALE!!!!!!! bloody lovely it was too!
I now have to wait another 2-3 weeks till its fully ready for supin', but I'm now totaly sold on home brewin'! The taste is lovely, a little bit toffee flavoured, but nicely! I thought it might have some odd flavours being a kit, but its fine and I would recommend kits to anyone who is just starting out. I think the use of LME may have well inhanced the body of the brew as well as the flavour, I would do this kit again in a breath!!! :D :D :D
Just like to say a quick thank you to all the folk that have given me advice on the forum =D> and here's to many more brews in the future!!
CHEERS!

excellent stuff :) it is addictive... even in our Kit brewing form, getting drinkable results from a plastic bucket is pretty special :)

I've also just had a half pint of my first ever brew... a Wherry. It is only 4 weeks old (1 week in FV, 1 Week in keg at 20C and 2 weeks at 5-10C in garage) so very young still but tasted lovely already better than supermarket stuff (wife loved it as well). We are now leaving well alone for another two weeks and then will crack into it.

Already have 3 others underway so the brewery line is well under way =P~

Ohhh and just started a turbo cider in a Tesco 5L montain water bottle using their pressed apple juice for fun

Good luck "leaving it alone" my Wherry has been in the keg a week, tastes nice so I'm drinking it already. I keep thinking "this is the last one then I'll leave it for 3 weeks" ! Until the next day..
