Hi all (again!)
Sorry to ask so many q's!
My first kit went without too much of a hitch and was a lil bit too warm so fermented off in 4 days. Last night I done a coopers real ale with 1kg of golden caster, temp was at 23 to start and og was 1046.
Fast forward 12 hours and there is 1cm head and lots of lil bits of yeast on top of it (the youngs I done to begin with was poppin and had a massive head after half a day).
Do I stir to get the yeast in or am I just being "silly"?!?!?
Ta,
Nath

Cool!
It just seems strange as there seems to be little (if any) noise/movement in this one where the youngs went off like a rocket!
I will just stay cool!

Re: Yeast floating in FV
The level of aeration of this one might have been less, so the yeast may be taking longer to multiply - or it could be a strain or yeast vitality issue. Just let it go and see what happens.nath812 wrote:Cool!
