Kit adaption, DME or LME
Re: Kit adaption, DME or LME
Okay chaps, thought I'd update you on my adaptation. Firstly, apologies for the delay as I've been drinking this for a couple of weeks now. Unfortunately, BT in their infinate wisdom managed to cock-up and cut-off our phone line, as a result of which our ISP lost our interweb connection! With been without for three weeks now. Bu@@ers!
Oh well, to the point in hand. I opened the first of my adaption with a sense of trepidation. Needn't have worried as, at least to my taste buds, it's absolutely great! The only negative is that there isn't much sense of the dried elderflower, so I may increase that in a future experiment, otherwise it's a great success. Really good hop flavour without being over powering, even SWMBO likes it. Sharp, refreshing, even the beers tasty! So, what ever else you do, please please please try something like it, whether my recipe or your own. You won't be disappointed. Finally, it pays to allow plenty of fermentation and conditioning time. Mine was in the FV for two weeks before I touched it, and conditioning in bottles for four weeks. Give it the time and it'll repay your patience.
