hi pogo

im pretty sure that when it comes to priming your keg/bottles, because you only use a small amount of sugar [80-100g]
it doesnt have a huge effect on the final taste of ya brew.
glucose/refined sugar will be completely converted in secondary ferment whereas bke which is 50/50 glucose and dsm wont quite, so you would
probably have to use a bit more.[20% ish] to get the same result.
i, however have used unrefined demarara in my wherrys with excellent results.
thats half the fun i think, experimenting and finding what you like best. :D

I've read that household sugar will not give a great result - is it a good idea to use the Munfords beerkit enhancer instead for a woodefordes kit at this stage - or should I consider a different brewing sugar for a good flavoured/ head retention result ??
Don't use the beer enhancer for priming. You only need 85 grams for priming and household sugar will do just fine. Anything else won't affect the taste and will be just a waste. Save the beer enhancer to use with the cheaper one tin kits to add a bit more body and flavour.

you could always keg with whichever takes your fancy then do just a handful of bottles with different priming sugars to see just how much it does effect the brew, i'd imagine it would be more pronounced on lighter ales but who knows. there are loads of options aswell, treacle, honey, all the different sugar varieties, spray malt, etc etc
