Calculator for Hydrometers

Post by FlourPower » Fri Mar 27, 2009 9:18 pm

Does anyone have a calculator to work out hydrometer readings on a 68F/20C hydrometer at different temperatures.

I.e. 1050@14dC = ?@ 20dC

I can only find calculators for 60F hydrometers.

Thanks

I use the Beersmith software which has a hydrometer adjust tool and you can specify the calibration temp eg 15 or 20C

Thread right at the top of the Brewing Equipment pages, but you'll need to PM Gurgeh as his chart has disappeared off Photobucket.

Speaking of Gurgeh, does anyone know what's happened to him? I haven't seen him here for a while.

Good link, but I'm suspicious of his ABV calculations.
