Kit adaption and light strike
Kit adaption and light strike
I am currently in two minds as to whether expand and go AG or stick with kits at the moment. As I find kits a bit bland, I fancy adding some extra hops etc and was wondering whether by doing so, would my brew be affected by light strike?
Re: Kit adaption and light strike
Light strike is generally caused by strong or direct sunlight shining onto your stored beer, usually bottles.
However you brew or adapt your kits wont bring on 'light strike' unless you store them incorrectly, they like a nice gloomy area to store.
If you want to go AG then go for it! (just don't store your bottles on a sunny windowsill!)

I think AG is a bit too much at the moment, but I will still be considering it
Re: Kit adaption and light strike
Its quite a step up unless you are confident, no harm in adapting kits until you really find the type of beer you want to produce.
Why not look at Extract brewing? Have a search, its a step up but well within the average kit brewers range, but with a more 'personal' touch
