Coopers Lager and BKE - will it work?

Is it worth using a Geordie BKE with a lager kit or am I best off using normal brewing sugar?

Yes, I've often used BKE for lagers, including the Coopers.

BKE is 50% medium spraymalt, and light or extra light is usually preferred for lagers, so it does turn out a fraction darker - but still easily light enough to pass as a lager, and the flavour is good. IMO, the 50% spraymalt and 50% brewing sugar mix is ideal for lagers.

agree with sparky,i always add bke to my lagers gives it a nice body and better flavour, using just sugar leaves it a bit weak and a bit boring..but theres nothing wrong with adding 250g of sugar as well, i always do with good results..
