Brewing Double Kit - Problem

Post by owbeeon » Sun Apr 12, 2009 6:44 pm

In an endeavour to make a super strength lager i have used 2 brewmaker standard lager kits and 2kg sugar in a 40 pint FV.
Origional gravity was 1080 after a week it was down to 1034 where it has stayed for 4 or 5 days, i have gentyly stirred the brew but nothing happening.
Has anyone had any similar experiences like this. Has it stalled? Should i add another batch of yeast at this point? What final gravity can i expect?

Obviously you used a yeast strain which tolerant of high alcohol levels ;) Even at an SG of 1.034 you brew is now about 6% alcohol.
Best wishes
