hello all

just a quicky cos i cant find it in the search....
does anyone know if a beer can suffer from light strike while its fermenting? im only asking because the one on the go at the minute
has slowed right down and i wanted to leave a light on in the cupboard overnight to stop it getting too cold.

Ive never ever had a kit brew suffer light strike when brewing. Firstly I think the plastic of the fv is sufficent to prevent it. When I brew (which hasnt been for 2 months due to moving house) I do it in the kitchen which sees daylight all day (ofc, not gunna be at night is it) and then the power of a light bulb when its dark :D

There was a thread regarding this but i think its in the off topic bit. search "Skunking" because thats a term used to describe it.
It was awhile ago when I read it an im sure I remember someone saying its something you only really get from AG brewing, something to do with the hops....

Maybe I should have ephisised the sentance..

I certainly didnt mean it was THE term for it :lol:
and in my defence I did get that term from this forum :D
