Coopers brewmaster Irish stout

Post by rollin danny » Wed Apr 29, 2009 8:43 pm

I put this kit in the fv on friday . I used 500 g dme and 400 g brew sugar . O.g 1.038 Next day I expected to see the usual eruption of froth but this time only few bubbles coming up and slight scum ring round the fv.Something was happening so I left it.Activity got less day by day untill today when it seemed to stop.Checked the f.g 1.012  All my previous Coopers have finished 1.006 using same fermentables.Ive gave it a rouse but dont reckon its gonna come down much more.Had a sneaky taste and it tastes great :D Has anyone else done this one and had a similar fermentation ?

Sounds like a perfect brew to me, not every kit blows like a Coopers (unfortunately)

1006 is good for a finish (albeit 1036 a tad low)
