Wherry and finings

Post by Scotty » Tue May 12, 2009 11:22 am

I finally got round to brewing my Wherry and with a cornie sitting empty, I fancy giving finings a shot to clear it quickly so I can drink it quicker

I've got Harris' beer finings and also Young's own. Which would be the best to use and how would I do it?

I'd have to say that Harris finings are better than Youngs, a personal choice only.

You may also like to consider Kwik Clear Finings. More expensive than the others but better by far, I think. Others will undoubtedly disagree. :)

I use Harris Beer Brite on my Woodforde kits, as they take too long to clear (over 4 weeks), and it works well. Instructions are on the sachet, can't go wrong.

Tasty tho, but can't wait to compare to AG
