I was looking on the Home Brew Shop website for my next brew. This will most likely be a Cooper stout, however I have a question about malt:
Is spray malt better than the liquid stuff in the can? I realise there is a ratio difference with the spray malt being more potent, but is there any benefit to using the canned malt extract?
My reason for asking is on the Home Brew Shop you can buy a 1.5K can of Coopers dark malt extract for almost the same price as 1KG of dark spray malt.

Re: Spray Malt or Canned Malt Extract
It's pros and cons. Totally fresh LME is the better of the two but spraymalt has much better keeping qualities so there's no danger of that extract twang. Also bear in mind that LME needs boiling to pasteurise it.
Best wishes
