Unfortunately, yes I did. Wasn't sure that if it hadn't stopped fermenting, I'd have been on the bog all weekend :?
Tested the brew last night. Reading was 1006 which according to the instructions, is the right reading. Will check again tonight and if it's the same, it's getting bottled tomorrow.

#-o What a waste of ye first taste of good beer! Rest assured, mate; The stuff about a flock of sparrows? Complete bull. Couple of mouthfuls of even not quite fermented out isn't going to have any noticeable effect on ye system. That trial jar full is considered a perq' of the job!

Anyway, 6 sounds great. If it's reading that for two or three days, ye home and dry ~ only ye won't be dry for long now!

Well done. Now you're a Home Brewer!

I've just tested it again and the reading is still 1006 so looks like it will be getting bottled tomorrow. The trial jar didn't go to waste this time... =D>

I always taste test mine at every stage. Like cooking tasting is an important part of brewing, you can't understand the changes or potential changes unless you do and as Ditch says it ain't gonna kill ya.
