co2?

i was in wil**nsons and noticed that they had some co2 bulbs x10 for under £4. i thought this was pretty reasonable but realised that you have to purchase the bulb holder aswell in order to use it. the only snag to this is that the holder is sold with a 2" valve cap and is not sold seperately, and at £15 is too pricey. does anyone know if you can purchase a bulb holder on its own. the brand is youngs. thanks

Many people on this site prefere useing an S30 for Co2 ratther than the little bulbs and there matching valve.. The bulbs work out very expensive in the long term and arnt very good. I've used them years ago and they just didnt work for me. Bought loads of bulbs, Got Lots of hissing and flat beer.
IMO a better way is to get a lid with an S30 valve fitted and use a humbleton bard S30 Co2 cylinder.
Lid with S30 valve fitted a little under a tenner. Cylinder about £20.

You excahnge the s30 cylinder when it's empty and only costs about £5 once you've paid out for the cylinder in the first place. Better in the long run but you need someone local to exchange really. Some places will provide exchanges over the internet but delivery costs are high!
