beer won't clear
Recently attempted my first brew a 36 pint woodefords nelson's revenge. It was transferred to the keg exactly 4 weeks ago and although it tastes great it is still not clear, and am always reluctant to drink cloudy beer.
Re: beer won't clear
Woodforde's/Munton's kits are well known to have problems with clearing and/or fermenting correctly, as you'll discover if you check through the various forums.
Did you add finings after primary fermentation was complete? If so, can you add a second dose of the finings used? Did you remember to prime the keg with the required amount of sugar before filling it? Just a few points but, the problem is quite likely to be the old Woodforde's/Munton's one.
Give it another few weeks to see if it clears any more. If the beer smells and tastes good, you can drink it.

My Nelson's Revenge took a lot longer to clear than the Admiral's Reserve and Wherry.2thumbs wrote:Recently attempted my first brew a 36 pint woodefords nelson's revenge. It was transferred to the keg exactly 4 weeks ago and although it tastes great it is still not clear, and am always reluctant to drink cloudy beer.
I would suggest you leave it for a further 4 weeks.
You will be rewarded.

Thanks for replies, did not add finings at any point as not supplied with kit ,but did add sugar before secondary fermentation. Will leave it another month and see what happens.
