Avoiding chill haze

Post by shandypants5 » Tue Jun 30, 2009 9:10 pm

Summers here and I like to watch my garden grow thru the bottom of a pint glass :D

Problem is I cant see it through my cloudy beer. :?

I have done a few searches but I am still not 100% sure how I should be conditioning my beers to avoid chill haze ( I assume its chill haze, my booze is sparkling clear at room temp).

Should I
1. let the beer carbonate in the warm for a week or 2, then chill it and condition for a month or 2 cold?
Or
2. let it sit at room temp for as many weeks as I can before chilling and serving?

any advice welcome

Option 1. Chill haze will drop out after 2 - 3 weeks at fridge temperatures. You'll probably notice a marked difference after even only a week.
