Home brew success at last!

Post by redskinweasel » Wed Jul 15, 2009 9:12 pm

Hey, Just really wanted to say thanks to everyone who has given me advice and helped me out over the last few weeks with my second attempt at home brewing.

I am pleased to say that I have just had a glass of the Coopers bitter tonight and it tastes bloody good TBH!

I first tried it on Friday after it had been conditioning for about 8 days and it had a funny twang to it, so I thought I might have infected the batch when I tried to fix the keg tap. Anyway, I just left it alone til tonight and the difference is unreal. No twang at all (I guess that was the green flavour I've heard people talking about)......just well-balanced malty flavours now!

Here's a pic anyway, clear as a bell, good head retention and very very drinkable! :D

On to the next on then...... :D

Cheers again

Sorry, won't let me post the pic on here. You'll just have to take my word for it!

Yeah, thinkin bout another keg already mate (how'd u know?). I figure I'm gonna need one sooner rather than later as 40pints really isn't gonna last long

I'm getting the urge to stock pile as much beer as possible! :D

Reckon I'm gonna do a coopers dark ale with coopers dark lme next b4 havin a go at your ditch's stout recipe.

Cheers
