Stout Kit adaption

Would a stout kit with spraymalt and lactose added produce a sweet stout like Makeson's?

If so, how much lactose would be needed per gallon?

it would indeed make a sweet stout as the lactose is unfermentable and stays as residual sweetness. in terms of amount i've seen a few recipes which call for between half a pound and one pound of lactose per 5 gallon brew.what kit were you intending to start with?i would advise an irish stout kit but don't use one that would particularly sweet when brewed normally or the result could be quite sickly.

I was thinking possibly Coopers or EDME. Any suggestions?
