coopers stout advice
coopers stout advice
I started a coopers stout 2 weeks ago and as usual it erupted out of the air lock and was busy bubbling away for a few days then settled. I had intended to barrel it last weekend but time was against me. Anyway just been to the garage and she has started to bubble again about every 10 secs through the airlock. Should i wait for 2 steady readings or just barrell it. And any ideas why she should start fermenting again. Thanks in advance. TT.

Wait for 2 steady readings. It hasn't finished fermenting yet.

Probably temperature fluctuations, letting it go a bit dormant. Personally, I feel Coopers Stout is better to be left to really finish it's thing anyway. I suspect many are so taken with the 'Blow' that, once that settles down, they assume it's all over. Not so.

Hi Tone
How’s that Coopers Stout coming along then. is it still dropping or have you kegged it yet.
What’s the gravity of this situation.

Thanks Ditch, and hello to Normski,
Well she went into the KKTT today and finished at 1006. Still have not heard from the HBS if they will replace the kit i lost i will wait a couple of weeks more and call them if they dont call me. What a job cleaning the FV after the coopers eruption.
