My guess is add the nomal amout.....about 80g (40z) If the beer is sweet at the moment, the chances are that the yeast is used up or dead and has not converted the sugar, in which case adding more sugar wont help. If the sweetness is there you may be able to try resarting, as chris-x1 was explaining. Either way its a cheap option compared to the drain!
Be sure to check for leaks when you seal it up again. A gas fitter would use a weak solution of washing up liquid (as though doing the dishes) and apply around the outside of the resealed vessel. Look for bubbles/foam. Don't get it inside!
