New To Homebrew

Hi new member and new to homebrew, just starting making my own beer from a kit can anyone please tell me how I can test the beer to see how strong it is? thankyou.:D

First thing is to read the label and see what 'Gravities' it says ye might expect. In actual operation? Use a Hydrometer to test first the " Original Gravity ", before ye add the yeast. Then compare that with the " Final Gravity ", once it's fully fermented.

Try the Search button and look for terms like " Hydrometer ", " Gravity ", " Strength " and take ye time reading some stuff. It'll all sound a bit daunting, at first. Maybe too mathematical. Just keep an eye out for the more simplistic explanations and take it from there :wink:
