Hi new member and new to homebrew, just starting making my own beer from a kit can anyone please tell me how I can test the beer to see how strong it is? thankyou.

First thing is to read the label and see what 'Gravities' it says ye might expect. In actual operation? Use a Hydrometer to test first the " Original Gravity ", before ye add the yeast. Then compare that with the " Final Gravity ", once it's fully fermented.
Try the Search button and look for terms like " Hydrometer ", " Gravity ", " Strength " and take ye time reading some stuff. It'll all sound a bit daunting, at first. Maybe too mathematical. Just keep an eye out for the more simplistic explanations and take it from there
