problem?
Re: problem?
if it bothers you, you can skim of the brown muck with a sanitised slotted spoon or a sieve, leaving behind the fluffy white head

Re: problem?
Assuming your kit has been sanitised,it's unlikely to be a problem. In My All Grain brews, I often brew a little more than the recipe so it takes more space in the FV. The foam often touches the lid and airlock befor dying down...................never been a problem. I do lots of things and experiment with technique to see what works for me. There is, of course, a text book way of doing everything. The biggest thing I have learned is to just get on with it, stop worrying about the fine points and just follow the basic principle! I have not made a "bad" one yet............................we don't count the nettle brew
