sediment
Re: sediment
You can chill the beer more so the co2 doesn't disturb the sediment as much but it sounds as if maybe you added too much priming sugar.
Re: sediment
maybe and i am thinking that i did not leave it to ferment enough anything i can do with it
Re: sediment
other than cooling them down more than normal, so they don't fizz as much, there is not much you can do. I suppose you may be able to chill them all down to about 2c and open them to let some of the co2 escape then recap them and let them settle again. As long as they are cold before you open them they will retain some of the fizz and when you warm them up to the normal drinking temp you will get some pressure back in the bottle. You really don't need much carbonation for an ale.
Re: sediment
Could also be too much yeast in the bottles, do they gush beer out the top or just lift yeast?
Re: sediment
i used about half a teaspoon of sugar per bottle beer does not spurt out just has a head rise all the way up and keeps on bubbling for hours.
