woodfordes great eastern ale

hi all, has anybody had a good experience with woodfordes great eastern ale kit? ive been brought one as a gift but the last woodfordes kit i tried (the wherry) took an age to clear! any advice appreciated or should i take it back to brewing shop and change it?

My suggestion for this kit is to get yourself a pack of Nottingham yeast and use that in place of whats included. The Nottingham usually does a good job of tearing through the wort and generally drops clear for me.

I kegged a Great Eastern in my king keg, it was without a doubt the tastiest beer I have ever done. I fined it and it took a few weeks to drop clear but it was amazingly tasty at 7 weeks old.
