Anyone recommend coopers Aus Pale Ale?
Anyone recommend coopers Aus Pale Ale?
My first brew was a Tom Caxton real ale which has nearly all gone and my second was a coopers draught which I'm a bit dissapointed with as there is not much carbonation or taste. Has anyone used the Coopers APA and would you recommend?
Re: Anyone recommend coopers Aus Pale Ale?
Absolutely, nice beer, very like a lager and an easy one to present to lager drinkers and not have them know the difference. Use all spraymalt would be my advice.
Re: Anyone recommend coopers Aus Pale Ale?
Great beer that one, very light and fizzy, nice chilled. Like lager but with flavour. I'm on my second batch - I've had good results with beerkit enhancer.

Re: Anyone recommend coopers Aus Pale Ale?
Thanks for the replies. I've just bought some Coopers APA and bought some beerkit enhancer from the homebrew shop which contains 500g of Spraymalt and 500g of Dextrose. If I use this, will I need an additional 500g of dextrose or other sugar to get the strength of the brew up or is the spraymalt a type of sugar that will convert to alcohol?

Hi mate,
Indeed the 1kg of BKE will probably be enough and you are right that the spray malt in the BKE will be broken down in a similar way as sugar but produce a better brew in my opinion.
cheers
