Lme?

Lme?

When using lme is it ok to just pour it in to the wort or is there more preparation required. Its just that my fermentation has been a little slow. :(

LME should really be boiled to pasteurise it. Adding it will do nothing to help your slow fermentation.

Thats how I made it :( oops. I thought as its in a can it would have been put through some canning sterilisation phase and any further boiling could effect the taste. Will my brew be ok its down to 1016.

No, they just take wort and condense it. You'll probably get away with it.

Out of interest why would you boil LME when you don't need to boil beer kits? Also I assume Spraymalt doesn't need to be watered down and then boiled?
