I think pubs have a far easier job controlling the temperature in a brick built cellar where ales are kept at 10-14C compared to an un-insulated timber garden shed where temperatures dropped to freezing point and below last February.
A shed may be fine now but I'm don't think they're a good idea when we have a cold snap.

Good point. I'd completely forgotten about those things. I'm so programmed now, when ever I think " Shed", I visualise what I'm used to; Something built of stones and over a foot thick! My own shed's like that. Old cow bier. And it'd be an ideal place to store my beer. It'd be a Beer Bier!
