geordie lager kit sugar?

hi i'v just been given a 1.5kg geordie lager kit(40 pints) it says to use 1kg sugar; will this be normal sugar, which sugar will be the best??

you can use the old tate and lyle
BUT for a better result and a better pint try using the dried malt extract or geordie beer enhancer instead of the normal sugar
so instead of 1kg of tate and lyle use 1 kg of the enhancer or the 1kg of dried malt extract
