Hi,
I have just bought another kit (Woodfordes norfolk nog) to make and I started the brewing process off today. What I did was:
1. After sterilizing stuff, put the cans into the bucket, followed by 6 pints of boiling water and then cold water up to 23 litres.
2. Stired like mad for a few minutes
3. added the yeast to the bucket and put it in the cupboard under the stairs.
I have just taken a peak (after it has been fermenting for a few hours) and there are no bubbles. Does this mean its not working?
Last time I made some beer, i put the yeast into some tepid water for a few minutes to waken it up. It didn't say to do this this time. Is it likely that I have screwed up and need to add some more yeast that has ben added to some tepid water?
Cheers,
Scott

Had an initial mental image of you putting the cans into the bucket unopened and here I was thinking it's no wonder your beer isn't fermenting.
Fermentation can take up to 24 hours to start. Try to ensure it is in a consistent 18 to 21C range, or at least thereabouts.
Anyway, welcome to the forum.
