Moving a keg during conditioning..?

Post by bigdave » Fri Jan 15, 2010 5:45 pm

I kegged my brew a while ago. It sat in the warm for a week then I moved it to the cool of the under stairs cupboard. Its currently sat on the floor so to pour it, it has to be moved. Is this going to cause an issue with the clarity of the beer? am I going to be better off making a little bench for it to sit on?

anything high enough to get a glass under will do ,as keep moving it will stir up the sediment.even more so as you get nearer to the bottom

Failing that, a bit of tubing, like syphon tubing, pushed over the end of the tap (dipping the end of the tube in boiling water will make it more pliable) should give you some flexibility, as long as you have enough pressure to push the beer up a gradient. Best use tubing with a tap on the end to avoid dribbles.
