co2 cannister.

Hi everyone.

Just bought a Hambleton bard co2 canister to put on my pressure barrel. silly question! How do i get the gas into the barrel? do i have to push down on the cannister?

No idea what type of make it is. It looks like a small beer barrel coloured brown with a standard screw on cap on it. I bought a new cap that takes the co2 adapter to go onto it. Got the barrel off my father in law who no longer brews. Cheers, Martin.

Needs to look like this iside, mate. Otherwise, what ye have there is the brass for one of the little plastic things that holds a silly little bulb in it. I believe those types have a pin sticking up, instead of a hole.

when you put the co2 in ...providing you have the correct thread on you keg . you only need a short blast about 1 seconed then do the same when the pressure starts to drop,dont know weather there is any truth in this but the shop that sold me my hambard said, and i quote........these things are a bit wanky.....that sometimes when you screw them in to let the co2 in they stick open .so be ready to unscrew it .had my a year now with no probs but dont have to use it to often. Yes ditch the one I have is like the one in the picture that you posted. kegging my first brew on Tuesday, so lets hope the big fella up there is smiling on me! Thanks again, Martin.
