Just wondering if anyone has tried this. And how sweet and refreshing is it?
Since having a Samuel smiths mild Ive got a taste for it again. Its strange, I had forgotten how enjoyable mild is, you just dont see it that often these days. Perhaps its got the same image problem as Sherry, its seen as a old persons drink.
It's a lovely drink and usually does very well in the pubs that do sell it. Usually the pubs that do sell it are 'real ale pubs' so keep it well and get the sort of customers that know what it is. I've got a mild on tap at home at the moment.
Not being that old (no offence to anyone intended) and from down south, I only found milds last year when I started going to festivals. They are lovely, Elgoods Black Dog is one of my faves. Going to the London Drinker festival on Friday and expect them to have around 10 milds to try - fabbo. I'd be very interested how this Brew fares, let us know if you can.
Just had a mild today about 5 mins ago at 'the grove' huddersfield, great pub, great beer. Mild is lovely, quite weak and used to be drunk as an energy restorative for workers,
I tell this to my girlfreind when i have work to do,
that way she doesn't mind me having a pint mid-day!
