To STIR or Not to STIR
While looking around for information on brewing I came across this site http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A481060 opinions please about stiring while fermenting!! Thank you TANSY
Thanks to you both. I already had the info from the 18000ft sites which is why I wanted to check the conflict in the advice given. Must admit I have only stirred when fermentation was stuck. Kits seem to be very tollerant of bad conditions and only need either warming up or cooling down to get on the move again. I hope you are making a nice steady recovery after the opp. TANSY
Hi DaaB, I have started, only cheaper kits till I get in the swing again. I have Brewmaker Lager in the Keg and a Coopers Stout bubbling away. I also have a Brewmakers Sweet white, a Butlers Vermouth and a Youngs Elderberry all bubbling away. Had a few temperature problems too warm due to changes in the weather, that is my excuse but all going along steady now. The Vermouth was in a bedroom cupboard, not the airing cupboard, got too warm or something blew the bubbler out along with herbs and 4 pints of liquer, 10 shirts and three ties to wash, cupboard to clean never had that happen before all good fun isn't it. Everything in my shed office and revamped garage now. Thanks for all your help now and to come. Going to pay a visit to Hop and Grabe possibly tomorrow for another Keg and the Universal Adaptor. Bye TANSY
