Ok, after 10 days fermentation the fixby gold has gone into the barrel with a hydrometer reading of approx 1012,
I dissolved 80g of light malt extract brought to boil in sum of the beer,
does it matter that i stired about a pint when i did this (oxidation)?
I am going to leave it in the lving room (18-20 degrees) for 5 days then cndition for a few weeks, when conditioning i ussualy put it into the basement
(approx 12 degrees) is this right, or should i put it at that temperature just for serving?
Had a quick taster and definately tastes better, tho not great, Im sure the conditioning will settle the rest of the flavours.

It's unlikely that you will have oxidised it as long as you didn't go crazy with the stirring IMO.I dissolved 80g of light malt extract brought to boil in sum of the beer,
does it matter that i stired about a pint when i did this (oxidation)?
12 degrees is perfect for conditioning and serving - lucky youI am going to leave it in the lving room (18-20 degrees) for 5 days then cndition for a few weeks, when conditioning i ussualy put it into the basement
(approx 12 degrees) is this right, or should i put it at that temperature just for serving?

Give it a chance for the flavours to develop; amazing things happen over the maturation period.Had a quick taster and definately tastes better, tho not great, Im sure the conditioning will settle the rest of the flavours.
