Would recommend getting some more american C hops to dry hop it. 40 - 60g worth should make it a tastier beer

If I hadn't gone BIAB I'd be all over this. It sounds amazing and I'm waiting to hear how it turns out for people.

20g of each does sound a bit tight

I'm assuming that the LME is well hopped, but nothing beats loads of fresh dry hops

update: made it up just after christmas...3 weeks in primary .. dry hop with another 20g summit pellet. tastes super clean for an ale not overly bitter.. very lemonny...super drink . think i got it to around 6.5% -7% but no alchol burn off it. easy drinking for a strong one. so clean tasting it could be a strong lager. from memory its remarkably like this stuff http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/harrington ... an/122997/
well worth doing ..dangerously drinkable

I made this kit this afternoon. The OG was 1062, so it should be interesting.

Can't wait to try it.

mine is on the go now, i added 1 kilo of light spray malt and it bought the start gravity to 1082, what will be the finish gravity will be interesting, the two hop bags will go in after first rack for 4 days then then let it clear before bottling.

I liked the look of these, so I have one waiting to go in the FV.

Gus: Not looked at the instructions yet, does it need additional sugar or are you adding that kilo to 'boost' it?

no sugar needed i added the kilo of light unhoped spray malt just to see if it would come out stronger than the stated % , i like strong ale, its unusual to add both hops at the end only for the aroma, but thats how its supposed to be according to the instructions.
