What is the SG for the Youngs stout kit?

Well, I didn't get to have a reading with my hydrometer and I'd like to know how much alcohol this will end up with. Does anyone know the hydrometer reading of the stout kit when it's first started?

I've just started a Coopers' Stout with 500g SME and 500g Dextrose powder, and that started at 1040 on the button.

Are you planning on adding anything with flavour as a primer?.

I was considering some kind of honey or brown sugar, but wonder if you can add a hint of chocolate without spoiling it...

Oh that's a great idea! Can I add chocolate to mine? It's been fermenting for a day now.
