I recently made a Wherry kit and found that it was more malty than the last ones I made a couple of years ago, very caramaly, with not much hop flavour.
Has any body else experienced this? It is in a cornie keg maturing at the moment, I was considering adding some hops or a hop tea.

Do you mean it's too sweet? Did you check the final gravity?
In the past there's been problems with these kits sticking.

Re: Woodfordes Wherry, different!
It just seemed that it was different than I remembered, I have been doing all grain brewing for a number of years and the last time I brewed a Wherry kit, as I re-call it was much more hoppy than this recent brew, I think the yeast that is supplied is also different from what I remember.

Re: Woodfordes Wherry, different!
I've only brewed the one Wherry kit. 'Malty' and not at all hoppy is EXACTLY how I would describe it. Not one to do again on that experience. Drinkable, a real quality effort given it's from a kit but just not to my tastes. You've now got me wondering if I too am experiencing something other that what Woodfordes intended?!
Re: Woodfordes Wherry, different!
Well I've now done three of these kits and two have stuck at 20. No more after this one, which will either end up down the sink or as 40 pints worth of shandy fodder!
