1st kit was a youngs lager from wilkos that turned out very clear good head but a bit tarty tasting. use granulated sugar..
2nd is a wheat beer muntons and used a muntons spraymalt instead of granulated sugar.. what i'd like to know with the wheat beer is....does it clear or is it the same has the wheat beer i get from waitrose that i have to swirl in bottle has i get to bottom when pouring?
3rd is burton bridge summer ale.will use muntons enhancer on this and will barrel and put in old fridge i ave stolen of the wife :D at the cost of a new one from comets  ran out of space for bottles..
any advise will be welcome on the wheat beer :) have been viewing board now for a few weeks and has been very helpful so would just like to say thanks :D

I think I can speak for all here on the forum by saying "Thanks, no problem!"

As far as your questions go...

1 - I'm of the opinion that the cheaper the kit the more ingredients are needed to bring it to the realm of an expensive kit. I'm currently brewing a youngs lager but I hopped it with Saaz and used a glucose/fructose mix. It also is very clear but I can tell that without the hops it would have been "weak" tasting. Maybe a mix of DME too would go well but I didn't have any at the time.

2 - I haven't made one of these (yet) but i'm sure more time will have it clear. I'm guessing the yeast in the Waitrose bought stuff is meant to be there - they've aimed it at the large niche market who like their beer to have a more traditional taste/appearence.

3 - Good luck on the Burton Bridge and let us know how it goes.
