Nelson's Revenge not quite right

Post by Weedy SD » Mon Jul 02, 2007 12:57 pm

Hello,

I am making Nelson's Revenge from a kit. I put the beer into a keg on 30th May when it had an SG of 1008. When I pour out a glass it has particles floating in it and it has a bitter aftertaste. My previous attempts using different kits have been clear and drinkable in 2 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions what is wrong with this batch, or should I just be more patient?

Thanks.

Leave it for another 4 weeks. My experience with woodfords kits is they benifit from time 8)

So to save this brew you suggest syphoning it to another keg?

Ok I'll leave it a while and then if no good I'll transfer it. Thanks.

I have given up on Woodfordes kits as I found Brupaks kits gave better results IMO, next time try a Fixby Gold or a Birkby Bitter 8)
