Dry hops for coopers cerveza
Re: Dry hops for coopers cerveza
I dry hopped mine with saaz, but the finished product had an haze issue which I think had something to do with dry hopping

Cheers Danny,
this is my third kit and I would like to have a play with some hops or pellets. Was the taste improved and how much did you add?

Dry hopping can cause haze.D4nny74 wrote:I dry hopped mine with saaz, but the finished product had an haze issue which I think had something to do with dry hopping

I usually dry hop kits with pellet hops (for example 25g or so of Citra pellets in a 40 pint Wherry kit). I chuck them in loose once FG is reached, leave it there for 5 days, and the hop matter settles at the bottom. After kegging using isinglass finings I get no problems with haze.
