Almost exactly what I had at university, except it was Porter. It's mad highly alcoholic goo, that's for sure!

When I first started brewing I bought an Ironmaster Bitter kit from my LHBS with a bit of other paraphanalia (can't remember what now. Might have been one of my KK's) so he threw in a tin of CB Navel Bitter. It was a 40 pint kit with instructions on brewing it down to 24 pints for a 'Full Flavour'. I still have my notes and the can wrapper.
So me in my wisdom and experience (third ever brew) made it into a 24 pint 5.7% abv monster, and it was disgusting, tasted vile. I did put in my notes that it made good shandy though! I havn't noted why I was drinking shandy!
The Ironmaster came out quite well although I had to laugh as I put in my notes for that one that I had to ferment for 11 days when the instructions clearly stated that it would be ready in a maximum of 8 days!!!! How dare they mislead me like that!

In hindsight that brew in a bag could probably be pressed into service as a polypin, it must be rated up to a fairly decent psi to withstand fermentation pressures :-k .
Then again its that long since i done one, i can't remember, where you supposed to vent the co2 every so often :?:
