It'll be bubbling away nicely in the morning!

Yep - it blew the lid off the fermentation bin last night - this morning there is a good foamy layer of yeasty goodness sitting across the top of the bin. Its starting to smell like the brewing stage of whisky production, which is a good sign too (and smells good!). I should pop down the road and compare smells with the distillery - see whos is best :D

Alas I didn't have a hydrometer when I started (actually - still don't, and can't remember what day I ordered it... Thursday I think... along with some other bits and bobs... hopefully it will arrive soon so I can determine when it is ready to barrel!) so I suspect I will have no idea how strong it is at the end (going to guess around the 4% mark, so easy drinking...)

Nice one, if you crack the lid open slightly so its no airtight you shouldn't get anymore 'exploisions' from the fermentor :D
