cheers daab, will try the hops. the kits basic instructions recommends pouring
contents of both cans into fermenter ,then refill both with boiling water and add the hops to one for 15 minutes. would i not be better off having hops soaked in cup of boiling water for 15 minutes and then add along with both cans. or is there a different stage when i should add the hops?

Hi there kitoog.
I have just received this kit in the post this week too, and it also came with the Blanche yeast.
I'm not putting this one together for a few weeks yet, but I have plans to use a boil to add Styrrian and Saaz hops as well as a hefty dollop of crushed coriander seeds and sour orange peel/extract in an attempt to give it a whiff of Hoegaarden! I'm not sure if I'll use the teabag as well as the other ingredients, but will ask for advice on this again nearer the time.
I'd be interested to read of your progress before then.
All the very best with it!

cheers Daab will try that. adding coriander and orange peel sounds very interesting fivetide. not going to be doing my brew for a while either as have two other brews going atm(need more fermenters
). do you just add the coriander and orange peel straight into fermenter when adding kit or at a later stage?

I was just going to adapt the recipe discussed here, maybe adjusting the amounts of ingredients here and there to reflect other people's experiences of trying to make Hoegaarden that I've found on the forum.
