Just found that they do Coopers Sparkling Ale........................MY FAVOURITE BEER!!!!

If anybody has done one of these let me know how it turned out, especially if you've drank the proper Coopers red and can compare the two.

I think i've died and gone to heaven :D

I assume that if this is your fave beer then you are at the very least an Aussie, maybe even a croweater?

Good link for recipes for this kit that 'clone' the real CSA.

As is the case for most Aussie beers, you need the Pride of Ringwood hop. I wouldnt dry hop with it but a short boil (15-20mins) should get the extra flavour.

If you can reculture the yeast out of a bottle of the Coopers Pale Ale it would be better than the Sparkling Ale. They are the same yeast but the lower alcohol content in the pale ale will mean a more viable yeast. This yeast is needed if you want to clone the beer.

Hope this helps.

No i'm not an Aussie but spent a year in Adelaide sampling this fantastic beer. I still buy it from an online shop over here, in fact i have a crate stored away, i only drink it on special occasions!

Fantastic beer, and even better on draught, you Aussies don't know how good you've got it!

Where abouts in Adelaide are you, anywhere near Para Hills? I spent most of my time there with relatives, also loads of places in and around Adelaide.

Thanks for the link but unfortunatley i'm only a begginer in homebrewing so its too advanced for me, pity as i would love to have a crack at it :D
