4 Questions (RE: Fixby in a Keg for Xmas)

Hello Guys!

Right, I have got myself a Fixby Gold kit, and have 4 questions.

I am planning to actually use the keg I got a while back and make this baby up for the Christmas hols. I will be using Beer Bright finings that I brought a while back, but was later advised not to use for bottling as it leaves unstable sediment. This will be a showpiece for me so the finings are a must to ensure the “perfect Pintâ€

thanks daab,

you have given me some food for thought their, I may.. just may.. be able to get enough bottles ready for that time so might just bottle stuff as its the moving that will be an issue, as it may well need moving from house to house to house over the space of a week, its just going to make a mess of the beer i feel. all other advise taken though and ill use that with bottling instead :)

kit in plastic barrel

Hi
i decided to move a barrel full of beer once (disasterous)..you will need to move the barrel to the site then allow it to settle ..before your party...otherwise you will be drinking fuzzy beer. I think you can use the corny system rack it clear then force carbonate it i think you can move this ...judging from what i have read here...

on another point i dont bother with finings with your 2 months to sit it will fall clear mine is clear without it after 10 days in the plastic beersphere with float.

and with a widget system you can auto dispense gas as it needs it.

still fancy the corny system and all grain !!
