It was 1020, today its 1006, its been in there since Monday
Does that help?
Safe to transfer to your laagering vessewl if you are going to do that.
FWIW, the Plzen brewers used to use the following rule
Mash 1 hour for each degree Plato (~4 Gravity Points)
Ferment 1 day for each degree Plato (~4 Gravity Points)
Lager 1 week for each degree Plato (~4 Gravity Points)
I'll leave you to do the Maths for a 1.048 Beer (12 Plato)
well im onto batch 3 now with a slight variation, ill tell you noe whats in the first 2:
500g light spray malt
750g caster sugar
bottled water
10g yeast
3rd batch:
as above except tap water
next batch im going to try just caster sugar and tap water, i will keep a bottle from each batch, ive chosen number 3, and then after ive done them all i can taste see which i like best.

Ok i have a little problem, on batch 3 and this batch im using tap water batch 3 went fine in the brewing bin but batch 4 is worrying me a little, there seems to be c02 being producesd as the lid is bulging but unlike any otf the other batches it does not seem t obe bubbling. It is pale in colour like the one i showed pics of but the airlock isnt bubbling, its been in there. usually it takes 4-6 hrs for it to start bubbling then it bubbles a little then it increases and the bubbling gets closer together but its not really doing anything, it bubbles of course if i press the lid down but it should be doing it on its own.
Well last night i had a bottle and my m8 did, and the misses had a taste, it was definately better this year and theres minimal sediment.
i drained from the bucket into a barrell and left it sitting overnight before bottling it the next day. then i left it in room temp in the bottles overnight before cooling it under the stairs for 2 weeks. my m8 says its a bit gassy but i dont mind that, its better than it being flat lol.
just need to wait now for the other batches to finish, as ive used different ingredients so we shall see how that goes. thanks for al lthe help and advice people, i think i will probably find out which ingredients work best over 6 batches now and be able to stick with it
