Why 40 pints??

Post by MickyD » Fri Sep 21, 2007 6:44 pm

Why are a lot of the kits 40 pints?

Is it for those of us who simply cannot wait for it to mature, and ensure that we get at least 1 bottle thats been left to mature to full flavour?

I ask this because my Admirals Reserve is getting better week by week, but I am rapidly running out of them

Must try to save a couple for christmas, should be really good by then.

welcome to the world of HB it took me a couple of years to realise 40 is the opening gambit. 1 barrel isn't enough unless your really a person of temperance or you just want to makeenough beer batter for your weekend fshy fry up.

1 4 to six barrel 160 - 240 pints will see you wet without a dry spell :)

Well that and maybe some wine on top for good measure
