Cherry Cracker

1 x Head Cracker
1 x Brewferm - Kriek (Cherry)
1 x Medium DME

Make 40 pints I'll let you know :)

Which brings me to another point. I apparently have a 40 pint barrel. I am sure it only holds about 20 as it goes down more rapidly than any 40 pints I could drink!

So is 40 pints right to the top of the barrel or is there space. This is on the standard white barrel.

I know the King Keg is about 6 gallons, giving you about a gallon head space for the gasses to build up. I'd assume that "budget barrels" are pretty much the same, but maybe with a bit less head space. These barrels are about 18" tall at a guess.

There are some much smaller 2 gallon barrels out there too but they aren't particularly common (H&G do them).
