How do all

Today I was asked to recommend a kits to a colleague. I recommended the Fixby Gold, I was put on the spot a bit when he announced out of the blue that he wanted a lager kit too so I recommended he try a Coopers Bavarian Lager kit. I know the Fixby Gold is a worthy kit but I have never tried the Coopers before. Does anyone have any experience of this kit? Am I going to get it in the neck when it turns out crap? I did make him buy the spray malt rather than brewing sugar to use with it.

Any thoughts?

You'll be ok mate, any Coopers kits are fine except Barvarian Lager. (Only joking) I did a basic Coopers Lager a couple of months back and it was cracking.
cheers

I have dabbled with the odd lager kit in the past but not recently as they were mostly crap. I did brew the Coopers Australian Lager on several occasions and this was definitely drinkable, I think any Coopers kit is going to be acceptable, particularly if DME is used instead of sugar.

Thank you very much chaps - it's a weight off my mind. I thought Coopers would be OK as I've drank their IPA before and remember it was pretty tasty stuff.
I thought I'd double check with folks who'd brewed this kit before just for piece of mind. Who knows we could have another convert on our hands.
